The Monte Malaina is the second top after Semprevisa. the chain Lepini is 1480 meters high. It can be reached from different sides and slopes, the most challenging but also fascinating, from the town called " Cona Selva Piana " on the road from the main road leading to the Lepine Mountains town of Carpineto .
It 's a long path of about 800 m across various environments. After a first section of trail in the woods you come to the Water Source Carpino, from here it starts to climb through a forest of evergreen oaks.
At one point the forest ends and you get to the plains dotted with stone walls , shepherds' shelters.
Continue right and you come to one of the most interesting points: in a small plateau stands a huge old oak tree : a turkey from the leaves features a "lobe."
