The exhibition " 1861.I painters of the Renaissance" being held at The Stables Quirinale - http://www.scuderiequirinale.it/ gathers famous and important works by artists who represented the ideals, struggles and battles of the Risorgimento .
The show opens with " Masaniello calling the people to revolt" a beautiful sculpture, full of strength and dynamism and, through the halls, you are immersed in the historical renaissance, with plenty of suggestions and news.

The works also have a documentary value as direct evidence of the events, by painters who participated in the first person to events.
It 's the case for example of "The battles of Tchernaya" Jerome Induno and even the little picture " Trasteverina killed by a bomb," which depicted the painter himself to witness the bombing of the French troops in Rome in 1849.
